Safe Night LLC specializes in improving effective practices through training to help reduce liability for special events that serve alcohol. Adhering to laws and regulations set forth by the Department of Alcohol Control Board and local jurisdictions are necessary for restaurants to be safe and economically viable. Your Instructor
Molly Mastoras is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia. She has worked as an assistant program director for the Fairfax County Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court and as a social worker for the Fairfax County Office for Women. Molly has extensive experience working with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence in these settings as well as in private practice. Molly developed the Safe Night Active Bystander training and the Proactive Alliance relationship-based approach.
Master Police Officer Dimitrios Mastoras (Ret.) served as Arlington County’s first nightlife liaison, he used the relationship-based policing techniques of Proactive Alliance to establish trustful relationships with restaurant owners, providing the foundation to develop and implement strategies aimed to reduce alcohol related violence. By using this approach, Jim developed the first bar/restaurant accreditation program in the U.S. to focus on best practices and law compliance while also increasing safety and economic viability.
